What is confirmed about pets

Pets are a documented Build An Ant Empire system, but the complete live roster is not available in reliable public material. The official New Update event says that new pets and pet-following behavior were added or changed. An earlier public update snapshot describes a route through a Dungeon, pet coins, a pet egg, and a hatched pet. Those signals establish the system and a useful route to investigate; they do not establish every current pet name, rarity, stat, egg cost, or hatch chance.

Use this hub as a verification-first Pets Dex. The How to Get Pets guide follows the acquisition loop, the Dungeon guide separates the two publicly documented Dungeon purposes, and the Pet Eggs guide covers safe hatching decisions. Read the current game interface before spending a currency because an event can change while these pages remain available.

A safe route to your first pet

First stabilize the colony. Place productive ants, collect Food, sell it for Cash, and keep enough currency for the next ordinary colony decision. A pet system should not make the base economy disappear. If the current pet route asks you to enter a Dungeon, read its panel before joining and identify the reward shown there.

Complete the activity only after checking whether it advertises pet currency or event currency. An earlier update connected Dungeon runs to pet coins, while the current New Update connects a limited-time Dungeon to Event Tokens. The two signals may describe different modes, different versions of one entrance, or a changed reward track. The interface in your server decides which route is active.

When you obtain the currency required by a pet egg, compare the displayed cost with the amount you can repeatably earn. Open one egg only when you understand where the next attempt comes from. After hatching, inspect the pet entry and equip or following controls before assuming its effect. Record the pet name, egg source, visible rarity, displayed effect, and check date if you want a reliable personal Dex.

Do not confuse the two Dungeon signals

The permanent-looking pet route and the time-limited event route overlap on the word “Dungeon.” Current official event text says Star items are used at the Wishing Pool to unlock a limited-time Dungeon, where Event Tokens can be earned. A historical public update snapshot instead describes Dungeon play that awards pet coins toward a pet egg.

There is not enough public evidence to claim those are the same mode. There is also not enough evidence to create two separate canonical Dungeon pages. Use the single Dungeon guide and match its checklist to the panel you actually see. If the entry requirement mentions Star items or the Wishing Pool, follow the Events hub. If the reward panel specifically shows pet currency and a pet egg route, remain in the pet loop.

How to evaluate a new pet

Begin with visible facts, not rarity color alone. Check the full name, source egg, rarity label, effect text, equip state, following behavior, and whether the pet or egg is marked as event-limited. Compare pets only when the interface shows the same type of stat under the same conditions. A visually rarer pet is not automatically a proven production upgrade without a displayed effect.

Keep the ant economy and pet economy separate in your notes. Ants collect Food and drive the colony loop. Pets may support that loop, but the available public sources do not prove one universal stat formula. Do not turn a community tier list into a numerical promise. If no effect is visible, describe the pet as collected and following rather than assigning an invented bonus.

Before a run

EntranceReward preview

Read the mode name, entry condition, timer, and advertised reward. Confirm whether it is a pet route or the current event route.

Before an egg

CostOdds

Check the currency icon, exact live cost, visible probability panel, and event label. If odds are not shown, do not infer them from a few hatches.

After a hatch

DexEquip

Record the name, rarity, source, visible effect, following state, and date. Compare only fields the current UI actually exposes.

Spending and collection priorities

For a new colony, consistent Cash and useful ants come before repeated pet attempts. Reach the pet route when a failed or low-value hatch will not prevent you from placing ants or buying a necessary colony upgrade. If the egg is event-limited, compare the event deadline with the time needed to earn another attempt; the official event date does not provide a timezone, so do not plan around an assumed final hour.

Collectors can prioritize unique entries, while progression-focused players should prioritize a clearly displayed useful effect. Neither goal requires claiming a complete roster. Keep duplicates until the game clearly explains disposal, merging, or another use. The current official update mentions a pet disposal optimization, but public text does not explain the exact control or return value. Confirm the result on the live prompt before removing anything.

Troubleshooting the pet route

If you cannot find the entrance, verify that you joined the official experience and a current server. Look for the pet or event interface described in the live update panel. Do not follow directions for the unrelated Roblox experience named Ants Empire. If a guide shows a location that is absent, it may describe the earlier update rather than the active build.

If currency does not increase, compare the reward panel with the currency you are tracking. Pet coins and Event Tokens are not interchangeable merely because both can come from a Dungeon signal. If an egg cannot be opened, check its currency, cost, any prerequisite, inventory capacity, and event availability. Rejoining can refresh stale UI, but it will not satisfy an unmet requirement.

If a pet does not follow, confirm it is hatched, owned, and equipped through the current pet interface. “Pet following” is an officially named update item, but the public event description does not specify platform controls or equip limits. Use the current button labels instead of assuming a keyboard shortcut.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get pets in Build An Ant Empire?

Public update material supports a Dungeon-to-currency-to-pet-egg route. Check the current Dungeon reward and egg interface because the current event also uses a limited Dungeon for Event Tokens.

Is there a complete pet list?

Not on this page yet. The current official event confirms new pets, but a complete verified roster with rarities, effects, and sources requires a live collection pass.

Are pet eggs permanent?

Public evidence does not establish that every pet egg is permanent. Read the live egg label and event timer before spending.

Is the pet Dungeon the same as the event Dungeon?

That relationship is not confirmed. One historical update links a Dungeon to pet coins; the current official event links a limited Dungeon to Event Tokens.

What does a pet do?

Use the effect shown in the current pet interface. Do not assign a production bonus when the UI or a reliable current source does not display one.

Confidence: The existence of new pets and pet following is Official for the checked event. The Dungeon → pet currency → egg route is supported by a Historical public update snapshot. Roster, costs, odds, stats, equip limits, and the relationship between Dungeon modes remain Needs in-game testing.
